The FALEFOS target groups

In the system of foster parenthood, we come upon a triangle with the (foster) child in its centre. The child is surrounded by foster parents, biological parents, and social workers.

Therefore, the target groups of the project are

   ⇒ foster children,
   ⇒ foster parents,
   ⇒ biological parents, and
   ⇒ social workers.

Development is only possible when we recognise and understand the different needs of the various target groups; and, only then, family learning, which often occurs under difficult conditions and circumstances, will be possible in (foster or surrogate) families.

In all activities the focus lies on the interests and the welfare of the children as the end-users of a functioning triangle. Thus, foster children are regarded as the overriding project target group; they are at the centre of all our efforts.
